Agreements with self

Invitations for the fullest experience.

To connect you more to yourself.

Four practices for shaping your own experience:

  1. Soften into receiving

See if you can fully accept love, praise, or reflection without deflection. This space is for expanding capacity to hold and receive.

A go-to phrase to align with this is “Thank you, I receive that.”

  2. Speak precisely

Be clear whether what you are saying is objective truth, your subjective truth, or your interpretation. Differentiate between what is dogma, personal truth, and personal belief when sharing.

  3. Ownership language

Own your experience. Use I, me, my when speaking about personal experiences. Avoid projecting onto others with “you” or “we” pronouns when sharing.

  4. Triggers are teachers

When something activates you, the invitation is to speak it — what is happening in your body, your mind, your memory. The value is in naming, owning, and feeling it, not managing it quietly.
